SpiceJet Flight Cancellation Compensation
SpiceJet also cancels some of their flights - sometimes because of circumstances out of their control, in which case they are not obligated to pay compensation to their passengers. But in cases that do not qualify as “extraordinary circumstances”, you could be owed up to 600€ from the airline.
The conditions ensuring your right to compensation when SpiceJet cancels your flight are slightly more complicated than for flight delays. In short, if the airline is responsible for the cancellation, they haven’t given you at least a 14-day notice, and you reach your final destination late (or don’t reach it at all), then it’s very likely that you are eligible under the EU Regulation.
