Airlines do their best to respect their initial schedule - but that doesn’t prevent them from arriving late from time to time. In the case of Vueling, however, delays seem to be the norm rather than the exception. The Spanish air carrier is indeed one of the worst airlines in the world for its lack of punctuality and terrible claim processing system.
While some delays are minors, those above 3 hours are particularly annoying for their passengers. ClaimCompass seeks to turn that bad experience into a better one by helping travellers who suffered from such a delay get up to 600€ in compensation for their trouble.
The EU law known as EC261 is the reference for the protection of air passenger rights. It states that in cases of long flight delays, airlines must pay flight delay compensation to their passengers. However, if the delay was caused by circumstances out of Vueling’s control, then the airline doesn’t have to pay.
The amount of your flight compensation varies according to the distance of your journey, from 250€ to 600€. You can use our Compensation Calculator to determine how much you are entitled to in less than 3 minutes. All we need is your flight number, itinerary, and a few more info.
You might be entitled to up to 600€ from the airline!
The tab below provides specific data regarding the airline's on-time performance. It includes the amount of flights operated by the airline each month, which portion of these flight arrived on time (i.e with less than 15 minutes delay), which portion consists of delayed flights, and the average delay of their flights in minutes. Some of Vueling’s flights are also cancelled, leaving passengers into even more trouble. The airline isn’t always responsible, of course - in some cases, called extraordinary circumstances, the decision is out of their control. But when Vueling is responsible, passengers are once again entitled to compensation.
In the event of the cancellation of one of their flight, the airline is required to let the passengers know at least 14 days prior to departure. If Vueling failed to do so and was responsible for the flight cancellation, you may be entitled to flight cancellation compensation under EC261.
And remember: if the airline cancels your flight, they also have to offer you a choice between a rebooking on an alternate flight to your destination as soon as possible (provided that seats are available) or the refund of your ticket. That’s independent of your right to compensation.
Get the money Vueling owes you: submit a claim now!
Unfortunately, Vueling isn’t part of the most cooperative and efficient airlines when it comes to processing their passengers’ claims for delayed or cancelled flight, as the data below suggests. The main problem with the Spanish airline is that the form that air passengers are invited to use to submit a claim doesn't work... but the airline does not provide any alternative to submit claim. What are passengers supposed to do in this situation?
That being said, at ClaimCompass, we’re dealing with Vueling on a regular basis and have already helped passengers get their compensation. If you’ve had a delayed or cancelled flight with Vueling, we will help you get the money that is owed to you.
