It goes without saying that airlines do everything they can to get you to your destination on time. Unfortunately, it’s not so uncommon that TAP Portugal’s flights arrive later than the scheduled time. After all, TAP is one of the worst airlines in the world.
Thankfully, the EU Regulation 261/2004 protects air passenger rights in these situations. When your flight with TAP is delayed by at least 3 hours, you can claim between 250 and 600€ to the airline. The exact amount of the flight compensation you are entitled to varies based on the distance of the journey.
At ClaimCompass, we help you get the compensation you are entitled to for your flight delay with TAP Portugal. We take care of everything so you can just sit back and relax. If you are indeed eligible, we will get your money for you. Simply fill out our Compensation Calculator with your flight details to know how much you’re entitled to!
Keep in mind, however, that not only is TAP Portugal one of the least punctual airlines in the world, there are also one of the worst when it comes to processing passenger claims. They are particularly reluctant to enforce passenger rights. As a result, most claims end up in court.
You might be entitled to up to 600€ from the airline!

What could be worse than a delay? A flight cancellation. Just like any other airline, TAP Portugal sometimes cancels a flight. They are supposed to do everything they can to rebook you on another flight at no extra cost. Know that if the arrangement doesn’t suit your travel plans, you can also ask the refund of your cancelled flight’s ticket.
Don’t forget that as long as there are seats available on another flight to your destination, TAP Portugal is obligated to rebook you on that flight. You don’t have to spend anything - even if the seat is in a higher class.
The EU Regulation 261/2004 also protects your passenger rights when your flight is cancelled. If the airline hasn’t warned you at least 14 days in advance, then you could be entitled to up to 600€. We can assist you in claiming the compensation you deserve. Just fill out the flight details of your cancelled flight in our Compensation Calculator for Cancelled Flight and we’ll take it from there!
