Airlines do their best to respect their initial schedule - but that doesn’t prevent them from arriving late from time to time. While some delays are minors, those above 3 hours are particularly annoying for their passengers. However, this means that you can claim flight delay compensation from the TUI. ClaimCompass seeks to turn that bad experience into a better one by helping get up to 600€ in compensation for their trouble.
The EU law known as EC261 is the reference for the protection of air passenger rights. It states that in cases of long flight delays, airlines must pay compensation to their passengers. However, if the delay was caused by circumstances out of TUI Airways’ control, then the airline doesn’t have to pay. Those extraordinary circumstances include for instance adverse weather conditions, ATC restrictions, security risks, or a strike at the airport.
You can get between 250€ and 600€: the amount of the compensation for flight delay varies according to the distance of your journey. Use our Compensation Calculator to determine how much you are entitled to in less than 2 minutes. All we need is your flight number, itinerary, and a few more info.
You might be entitled to up to 600€ from the airline!
The tab below provides specific data regarding the airline's on-time performance. It includes the amount of flights operated by the airline each month, which portion of these flight arrived on time (i.e with less than 15 minutes delay), which portion consists of delayed flights, and the average delay of their flights in minutes. TUI Airways’ cancelled flights leave their passengers in a lot of trouble. The airline isn’t always responsible, of course - in some cases, the decision is out of their control. But when TUI Airways is responsible and hasn't let you know more than 14 days before the flight, you are entitled to compensation for cancelled flight.
And remember: if the airline cancels your flight, they also have to offer you a choice between a rebooking on an alternate flight to your destination as soon as possible (provided that seats are available) or the refund of your ticket. That’s independent of your right to compensation.
This means that you could get both a refund of your ticket and a flight cancellation compensation from TUI.
Unfortunately, TUI Airways isn’t part of the most cooperative airlines when it comes to processing their passengers’ claims for delayed or cancelled flight, as the data below suggests.
That being said, at ClaimCompass, we’re dealing with TUI Airways on a regular basis and have already helped passengers get their compensation. If you’ve had a delayed or cancelled flight with TUI Airways, we will help you get the money that is owed to you.
